About Us

The University of Queensland’s Centre for Online Health (UQ-COH) is Australia’s leading academic centre in telehealth, with 20 years’ experience developing, researching, educating, implementing and evaluating telehealth services in diverse contexts. The Centre’s expertise in telehealth is internationally recognised. UQ-COH’s multidisciplinary team (including clinicians, academic researchers, health economists, educators, technicians, engineers, and administrators) brings together a broad mix of skills to telehealth. UQ-COH believe in better healthcare and stronger communities, through the use of telehealth. Please note UQ-COH defines telehealth as clinical consultations at a distance and includes a range of modalities such as: videoconsultations, telementoring, eConsultations, phone consultations, remote patient monitoring, and store-and-forward.

UQ-COH has taught telehealth to: the next generation of the health practitioners through a range of undergraduate courses and; the current workforce through post-graduate courses and professional development courses. UQ-COH was the major partner in developing the Telehealth for Clinical Practice courses in response to the COVID pandemic. UQ-COH have been commissioned by numerous health organisations to provide bespoke training and education of their telehealth workforce.

UQ-COH offers a range of Telehealth Training services to suit your needs. These include: In-person workshops, live virtual workshops, telementoring (Telehealth ECHO) and online modules as found in The UQ-COH Telehealth Training Portal.
